16/06/2022: The Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are high-level and integrated study programmes, at master level. They are designed and delivered by an international partnership of higher education institutions (HEI). They involve at least three HEI from three different countries. Ajay will be visiting France, Spain and Belgium for six months each to complete his joint Masters program with a scholarship of Rs. 44.5 lakh (Euros 49,000). Ajay comes from fishermen community in Cherai, Ernakulam. Parents are V A Salimkumar and K R Girija. Ajay is currently completing his Bachelor of Fisheries Science Course from Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS). KUFOS have reserved seats for students coming from fishermen community. Vie Chancellor Dr Riji John pointed out that this is an example demonstrating the scheme on reserved seats for BFSc course are becoming fruitful.

2/3/2022: Dr Ganesh Kumar, alumnus of 1994 batch was recognized with the Distinguished Early Career Award from the US Aquaculture Society at "Aquaculture2022". The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to advance U.S. aquaculture through outstanding leadership or innovation in research, education, or industry development. He is an aquaculture economist currently working in the role of Assistant Research Professor at the Mississippi State University, USA. Congratulations Dr Ganesh..!
